LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - To prevent big-yardage allowances from becoming an old habit, Kentucky's defense could have a new look for Saturday night's home opener against Kent State.

That's saying something considering the Wildcats' current youth movement, especially at linebacker.

But after allowing 466 yards in Sunday's loss at then-No. 25 Louisville, Kentucky coach Joker Phillips believes it's time to blend in more newcomers, which could mean significant playing time for freshmen Khalid Henderson and Pancho Thomas against the Golden Flashes.

Although neither player is listed on the two-deep depth chart, both were highly regarded recruits and will be thrown into action as Phillips and defensive coordinator Rick Minter seek replacements for the graduated Danny Trevathan and Winston Guy.

They will rotate in a unit that started three sophomores and a junior against Louisville.
