LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - When word broke last week that Mark Stoops would be Kentucky's new football coach, WKYT reported that D.J. Eliot, defensive ends coach at Florida State would likely follow. CoachingSearch.com is reporting Monday night, Eliot has accpeted the job of defensive coordinator at UK.
Eliot has worked the last three seasons with Stoops. Before joining the FSU staff he served as the defensive line/recruiting coordinator at Rice for three seasons. Hes also coached at Tulsa and Texas State.
Stoops sent out a twitter message monday evening saying he met with his players in the morning and had a productive first day on the job.
