LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - New UK football coach Mark Stoops has his first commitment for the 2013 season: Steven Borden, a 6-foot-4 junior college tight end from Kilgore College (TX) has signed with the Wildcats.

Borden is the son of former pro wrestler, Sting. He chose the Cats over Texas Tech. Borden will enroll in January and have two years of eligibility.

Several reports Wednesday afternoon confirm the signing of Za'Darius Smtih, a JUCO All-America defensive end. Smith played at East Mississippi Community College. Jimmy Brumbaugh, UK's new defensive line coach, spent last season at East Mississippi C.C.

Stoops will hold an afternoon press conference on Wednesday. Fans can watch it live on WKYT.com beginning at 3:00 p.m.
