Florida coach Billy Donovan has given no indication of what his next move might be, other than to say he’s happy at Florida.

But WKYT Sports has learned that the Memphis Grizzlies are prepared to offer Donovan a $5.5 million dollar deal to coach the NBA team. Donovan, however, is not expected to accept the offer.

There has been speculation that the NBA would come after Donovan, namely, the Miami Heat.

The Grizzlies have the worst record in the NBA – they’ve won only 19 games and are in the cellar of the Southwest Division, 44 games behind Dallas.

Donovan is scheduled to speak in Huntington this afternoon, at a previously announced event.

One of Donovan’s assistants, Pikeville graduate Donnie Jones, is interviewing for the Marshall coaching job.

Other candidates for the Marshall opening include Mike Jarvis, Pete Gillen and Oklahoma assistant Mark Klein.
