LAS VEGAS (AP) - DeMarcus Cousins is back at USA Basketball camp this summer. He says he's happy and eager to show that he's ready to take on the challenge and the responsibility that come with representing his country.
Cousins was part of the U.S. select team of young players that practiced against the Olympic team last summer. But things ended on a sour note after a disagreement with managing director Jerry Colangelo.
Cousins said that was blown out of proportion and Colangelo agrees. He invited Cousins back for another look, and the Sacramento Kings forward could be just what Team USA needs. On a roster full of point guards and swingmen, Cousins is the rare big man with elite skills.
