LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Wildcats are hoping to
improve their handling of the blitz - on both sides of the ball.
Wildcats coach Joker Phillips spent Wednesday afternoon
installing blitz packages on defense and working with the offense
in fending off the blitz.
Phillips says the Kentucky offense, still waiting for its
starting quarterback to be named, struggled in picking up the
blitzes and in holding on to the ball.
On defense, Kentucky ranked last in the Southeastern Conference
last season with 16 sacks recorded in 13 games but ranked
second-best with just 17 allowed. The Wildcats return six starters
