No. 3 Kentucky, No. 4 Louisville to renew rivalry Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - No. 3 Kentucky and No. 4 Louisville renew their rivalry in the most anticipated yearly game in the Commonwealth on Saturday at Rupp Arena.

When a video came out this month showing Wildcats coach John Calipari and Cardinals counterpart Rick Pitino chatting at a high school game in Mount Washington, Ky., there was an abundance of speculation about exactly what the two coaches discussed.

Calipari says while they don't send each other Christmas cards, they were cordial and complimented each other during the brief discussion.

Calipari says most of the rivalry is sparked between the rabid fan bases of the 12-1 teams. After both programs reeled in large freshmen classes, there are 13 players who have never participated in this matchup.
