Kentucky Practice Report Wednesday 9-17-08

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky coach Rich Brooks acknowledges
the Wildcats' offense hasn't played like a well-oiled machine through the first three games.
He's working to change that, though.
Brooks said after practice Wednesday that he will use the time off from this week's bye to fine-tune a variety of positions, including receiver and offensive line.
The young receiving core has been criticized a number of times for missing routes and not blocking. However, Brooks reported progress Wednesday. He predicted a breakout soon from receiver T.C. Drake, who made some critical plays in the Wildcats' win over Middle Tennessee State.
Brooks said the line will start to look better once the other
problems on offense are corrected.
