Brandon Knight joins Kentucky 2010 class

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky coach John Calipari hopes he's
found his next superstar point guard in Brandon Knight.
The nation's No. 1 player in the 2010 class, point guard Brandon Knight of Florida, announced that he will attend the University of Kentucky on live television during a signing day special on ESPNU.
Knight, a McDonald's and Jordan Brand All-American who plays for Pine Crest High School near Fort Lauderdale, chose UK over the likes of Connecticut, Kansas, Florida and Syracuse.
Knight is the top-ranked high school player in the country
according to Rivals.com. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Knight averaged 32
points a game last year at Pine Crest High in Fort Lauderdale,
Fla., and is the second all-time leading scorer in Florida high
school history.
He'll be charged with replacing Wall, the Southeastern
Conference Player of the Year who led Kentucky to a 35-3 record and
a spot in the regional finals of the NCAA tournament.
