Knight commits to UK

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky coach John Calipari hopes he's
found his next superstar point guard in Brandon Knight.
Knight announced his commitment to Calipari and the Wildcats on
Wednesday, the heir apparent to replace John Wall, who is leaving
Kentucky after one season to play in the NBA.
Knight is the top-ranked high school player in the country
according to Rivals.com. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Knight averaged 32
points a game last year at Pine Crest High in Fort Lauderdale,
Fla., and is the second all-time leading scorer in Florida high
school history.
He'll be charged with replacing Wall, the Southeastern
Conference Player of the Year who led Kentucky to a 35-3 record and
a spot in the regional finals of the NCAA tournament.
