Conner selected by the Jets

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) - The New York Jets have drafted
Kentucky fullback John Conner with the fifth-round pick they
acquired from Seattle for running back Leon Washington.
The Jets also sent their seventh-round pick to the Seahawks on
Saturday.
Conner, regarded as a top blocker, likely will be the backup to
veteran Tony Richardson. He's nicknamed "The Terminator" for his
hard blocks and because he shares the name of one of the main
characters in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
New York drafted Boise State cornerback Kyle Wilson in the first
round, Massachusetts offensive lineman Vladimir Ducasse in the
second, and traded up to take USC running back Joe McKnight in the
fourth.
