Former Wildcat linebacker Micah Johnson did not hear his name called in the NFL draft, but he'll be getting his chance with the New York Giants.
Johnson returned to school for his senior year hopeful of raising his draft stock, but not only did he go undrafted, he was not signed as a free agent.
The Giants have invited him for a tryout at their upcoming minicamp.
In the meantime tight end T.C. Drake, offensive lineman Zipp Duncan. offensive tackle Justin Jeffries and tailback Alfonso Smith have all signed free agnet deals with NFL teams.
Drake with the Kansas City Chiefs, Duncan with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jeffries with the San Diego Chargers and Smith with the Arizona Cardinals.
