Outfielder Brian Adams and catcher-first baseman Luke Maile have both signed contracts with major league teams ending their careers at the University of Kentucky.
Adams was drafted in the 8th round last week by the San Diego Padres and has reported to Arizona. Last season Adams hit .250 with one home run and 7 RBI in limited action.
Maile was also selected in the 8th round last week by the Tampa Bay Rays. Baseball America is reporting he signed for $133,200. Maile played a key role in the Wildcats season batting .319 with 12 home runs and 51 RBI.
