LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Marquis Teague says he's excited that Kentucky is ranked at the top of the poll.
The freshman point guard concedes he's not sure what that means.
The Wildcats (6-0) returned to No. 1 for the first time since a one-week stint in the 2009-10 season, but coach John Calipari has been starting three freshmen and two sophomores who weren't around the last time the program was at the top.
Calipari says his three starting freshmen are "oblivious" to the rankings and emphasized it's a badge of honor to be ranked first, not a burden.
The Wildcats are hosting two big games this week. St. John's (4-3) comes in Thursday as part of the SEC-Big East challenge before a Saturday showdown against No. 5 North Carolina, last week's No. 1 team.
