Kentucky's John Calipari on Coach Joe B. Hall and Jim Host being inducted into the Collegiate Basketball HOF in November.

"Jim Host has been kind to me for nearly 20 years. He is somebody that I was always able to pick up a phone and call and get advice from. He has been a mentor to me for a long time. I am so happy that this award will be presented to him because he is so deserving in all that he has done to help the NCAA Tournament and other things to promote college basketball."

"Coach Hall for the last three years has been a confidant, mentor and friend. I have called him many times because of the fact that he is the only other guy that has sat in this seat and understands what I am going through. He has a great feel for the pulse of the city and fans. You are talking about national titles, Final Fours and he coached here for 13 years, which understand is like in dog years. That is like he was here 91 years and had to follow one of the great legends in the history of our game, Adolph Rupp. I have no idea how he had the success he had, following what was here."

"My hat is off to both and I wish congratulations to both of my good friends. They are very deserving awards."
