Cats communicating better, heading to Florida

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - As the post season approaches, UK freshman Dakari Johnson says he and his teammates are doing a better job of communicating on the court.

Johnson talked about the process following Kentucky's 55-48 victory over Alabama Tuesday night. "Its been going on for awhile, but I think today we just tried to be more vocal."

Coach John Calipari, over the last few weeks, has called for his team to be more player driven rather than coach driven. "Coach Cal took a step back and he was just trying to have us come together as a team, especially when adversity hits." said Johnson. Andrew (Harrison), Aaron (Harrison), James (Young), all of us, we just talk to each other and just be positive."

Kentucky concludes the regular season Saturday at Florida. Tipoff will be at Noon on WKYT. Wildcat Warmup will begin at 11:30 a.m.
