Cats face undefeated Irish in Freedom Hall

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky coach John Calipari told whoever
would listen before the season the Wildcats would struggle early
on.
He proved to be right.
The 17th-ranked Wildcats (5-2) have lost two of their last three
heading into Wednesday's game against No. 23 Notre Dame at Freedom
Hall, including a 75-73 loss to North Carolina on Saturday.
Calipari says Kentucky's biggest problem is a lack of trust,
something he expects the Wildcats to work on as they learn to play
together.
Kentucky hasn't lost two straight games during Calipari's
tenure, but the Fighting Irish (8-0) will prove a difficult
opponent in the SEC/Big East Invitational.
Notre Dame starts five seniors, all of whom played in 77-67
victory over the Wildcats in the NIT two years ago in coach Billy
Gillispie's final game at Kentucky.
