LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Kenny Rollins, a member of Kentucky’s Fabulous Five, died on Tuesday. He was 89.
Rollins, a guard on the 1948 national championship team, died in Greencastle, Ind.
He played high school basketball in Wickliffe, Ky., went on to play at UK, where he was a team captain. Rollins would play for the United States team in the 1948 London Olympics, which was coached by Adolph Rupp.
Rollins played professionally with the Chicago Stags and the Boston Celtics.
