Georgia ends UK's bid for first softball title

Columbia, SC - Georgia scored the first five runs of the game and got a strong pitching performance from Chelsea Wilkinson to beat Kentucky 5-2 in the SEC Softball Championship game on Saturday.

UK was held scoreless until the seventh inning, when Nikki Sagermann and Griffin Joiner hit back-to-back solo home runs. That's all the Wildcats could muster and fall to 44-15 on the season. The 44 wins is a school record.
