Hood to redshirt

Coach John Calipari announce on Friday that guard Jon Hood, who tore an ACL in the summer, will likely redshirt this season.

“I don’t think he’ll play this year, not at this late of date. There’s no reason to use up a year of eligibility for that," Calipari said.

Hood suffered the injury during a pickup game in the summer. Hood would have two years of eligibility remaining.
