Knight with some big shoes to fill as season opener approaches

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky's Brandon Knight knows he has
some big shoes to fill.
The Kentucky freshman point guard is the latest in a long line
of high-profile guards recruited by coach John Calipari to run his
dribble-drive offense.
Calipari has a reputation for preparing point guards to be
NBA-ready stars. Derrick Rose and Tyreke Evans played for Calipari
at Memphis then went on to win NBA Rookie of the Year. John Wall
left Kentucky after a spectacular freshman season and was the No. 1
overall draft pick by the Washington Wizards.
Calipari says it's not fair to compare one player against
another, but has praised Knight for his decision-making and his
shooting ability.
The 11th-ranked Wildcats open the season on Friday against East
Tennessee State.
