-- Kentucky drops to 5-2 on the season. North Carolina improves to 5-3.
-- UK is now 11-22 all-time against UNC and 2-5 in Chapel Hill.
-- The Wildcats are 123-62 against schools comprising the ACC.
-- This was the smallest margin of victory for either team in Chapel Hill over the last five games. The previous was 13 in 2005 (UNC 91, UK 78).
-- The last two games between UK and UNC have been decided by four points (Last season: UK 68, UNC 66).
-- Kentucky will be in action again Wednesday, Dec. 8, against Notre Dame in Freedom Hall as a part of the DirecTV SEC/Big East Invitational. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET with the game being televised on ESPN.

Team game notes
-- The Wildcats used the starting combination of Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight, DeAndre Liggins and Josh Harrellson for the fifth straight game. Kentucky is 5-2 with that starting five.
-- Darius Miller scored the game’s first basket on a 3-pointer.
-- Doron Lamb was the first sub off the bench for Kentucky. It was Lamb’s sixth time this season to be the first Wildcat off the bench.
-- Kentucky extended its streak of game with a three-pointer to 756 games, the third longest streak in the country.
-- The Wildcats led 42-40 at the half. Kentucky is 4-1 when leading at halftime.
-- Kentucky closed the first half on an 8-2 run, holding North Carolina without a field goal over the final 3:20.
-- The first half saw nine ties and eight lead changes.
-- UK guards accounted for 60 of Kentucky’s 73 points.
-- The Wildcats had multiple players foul out for the first time since March 27, 2010 against West Virginia.
-- Last time Kentucky played in a game decided by two points was Feb. 20, 2010 against Vanderbilt, a 58-56 win by the Cats.
-- UK shot a season-high 76.2 pct from the free-throw line (16-21). The Wildcats are shooting 73.8 pct. from the line over the last three games (48-65).

Individual game notes

#1 Darius Miller
-- Has hit a 3-pointer in every game this year.
-- Recorded third straight multi-3-point game and his fifth this season.
-- Tied season high for 3-pointers with three.
-- Pulled down seven rebounds, the most since recording 11 in the season-opener.

#3 Terrence Jones
-- Finished with season low nine points, breaking a streak of six-straight games scoring in double-figures.
-- Fouled out of the game for the first time this season.

#12 Brandon Knight
-- Has connected on a 3-pointer in six of seven games this season.
-- Has gone for multiple 3-pointers five times this season.
-- Scored 13 first-half points, the fifth time this season he’s done so.
-- Fouled out for the first time this season.
#20 Doron Lamb
-- Finished with a career-high 24 points.
-- Has connected on a 3-pointer in six of seven games this season.
-- Has scored in double-digits in back-to-back games.
-- Scored double-figure points in the first half for the third time this year.
-- Tied career high for 3-pointers with three.
-- Tied career high with seven made field goals.

#30 Eloy Vargas
-- Fouled out for the first time this season.
#34 DeAndre Liggins
-- Pulled down season-high six rebounds.
#55 Josh Harrellson
-- Fouled out for the first time this season.
