Kentucky tailback Derrick Locke crosses the goal line in front of Georgia defender Marcus Washington (44) during the first half Saturday nigh in Athens.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky running back Derrick Locke could
be on his way back to the field.
The senior practiced on Tuesday and coach Joker Phillips says
Locke is questionable for Saturday's game against Charleston
Locke has missed three straight games with a shoulder injury. He
has been cleared to play by team doctors and did not experience any
pain during his limited practice time.
Locke leads the Wildcats with 574 yards and seven touchdowns and
the running game has struggled in his absence.
Phillips said Locke has fatigue problems in the shoulder that
affects the way he grips the ball. Phillips said Locke had trouble
holding onto the ball later in practice after getting tired.
