LEXINGOTN, Ky. (WKYT) - Frustration has become familiar for Mark Stoops in is first season at Kentucky. He said he was frustrated after Saturday's loss to Missouri and he still sounded frustrated at his weekly news conference Monday.
"We can't be that inconsistent and and play with a a great football team." said Stoops. Heading into a new week, Stoops remained positive about the final three weeks of the season. "I saw good a percentage of plays that were good football plays and that I have to build on, that we have to build on. We have to learn to play 100 per cent of those plays as best we can. Then we have an opportunity to beat a top 10 team. Until then we have no chance to beat a top 10 team."
This weekend Kentucky travels to Nashville to play a Vanderbilt team coming off a victory over Florida, and at 5-2 is at the doorstep of bowl eligibility. "They're a team that just plays very hard, plays very smart, they capitalize on your mistakes. So it'll be another good opportunity for us, a big challenge for us to go down there and win."
Kickoff for Kentucky-Vanderbilt is set for 12:21 p.m. Sunday. Coverage will be gina at noon on WKYT.
