LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Thursday night Las Vegas odds had No. 3 Kentucky only a 3-4 point favorite over No. 20 Baylor. The game will tipoff at 10:00 p.m. Friday night in AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Both teams have lost only one game. Kentucky to No. 1 Michigan State, Baylor to No. 4 Syracuse. "We need to play another ranked team to find out where we are at this point." said UK Coach John Calipari before leaving for Texas. " It's not about winning and losing, you want to win every game. It is about, lets just keep learning where we need to go with this team."
UK freshman forward Julius Randle is from the Dallas area and is familiar with several Baylor players. "They're a really good team. They can shoot the ball and have some long athletic bigs so it'll be a good challenge for us."
Baylor has four players averaging in double figures with Cory Jefferson pacing the way with 13.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. The Bears defeated the Cats last season in Rupp Arena 64-57, snappping Kentucky's 54-game home court winning streak.
The UK women's team will play Baylor in the first game of the Dallas doubleheader. ESPN3 will show the women's game tippin off at 7:30 p.m. The men's game will be televised by ESPN.
