Sanders suspended for final game

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK senior Raymond Sanders will not be suiting up for the final game of his Kentucky career. Coach Mark Stoops announced Monday Sanders is suspended for a violation of team rules.

A report last week said Sanders was dismissed from the team but he played in the second half Saturday night at Georgia. At his weekly news conference Stoops said he had received new information about Sanders "about an hour ago."

Last week Stoops suspended wide receiver Demarco Robinson indefinitely and cornerback Cody Quinn and defensive end Jason Hatcher for the Georgia game. Stoops said he was unsure if Sanders will take part in Senior Day activities.

The Cats host Tennessee Saturday in their final game of the season. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. on ESPNU>
