LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Our Officer Don Evans flew over the scenes, where you can see thousands of fans celebrating in the street.

Thousands of fans filled downtown Lexington streets after their Cats beat the Badgers to send them on to the national championship game.

Police made some arrests. Our crews on State Street say at least two stop signs were uprooted. Fans could even be seen hanging from trees on State Street. We're told, in all, there were around 40 furniture fire calls reported even beyond UK's campus. By 1 a.m., nearly 12 patients had been treated by EMS. We're told there were about 1,000 people on South Limestone, with 3,000 packing State Street.

Some fans climbed onto the roof of The Local Taco, and others could be seen hanging off the deck of another bar on South Limestone.

Officers were out in full force, some in riot gear to keep the celebrations controlled. Police increased their visibility on State Street and the surrounding blocks.
