LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK coach Mark Stoops is happy with his player's attitude as the Wildcats began spring workouts Monday morning. The Cats had to go inside Nutter Field House because of heavy rains throughout central Kentucky.
Stoops said afterwards he was encouraged. He said he had good guys with a good attitude. " What I could tell was, that they had a clue on what to do offensively, a clue on what to do defensively and a good idea of the base offensive plays, base defensive plays and I felt like the coaches did a good job of preparing them."
It was just the first day of practice and the execution has a long way to go. "Now I felt like the execution was very sloppy, ya know it was sloppy. Throwing and catching, stuff like that, which you understand.
Guys were a little anxious and all that. But I felt good, I felt like, again, I felt like the coaches put them in a good position to understand some things."
