The Kentucky Wildcats are looking more and more like a team beginning a march to the Final Four. The responsible for running the show that might get the Cats to Indianapolis is guard Marquis Teague.
"That's fun winning by 20," Teague said, after UK's 20-point win over Florida. "We enjoy this. We want to beat everybody by as much as possible. We just enjoy each other on and off the court."
Teague is having a good time and he's improved his skills.
"Yeah, I think I'm feeling more comfortable every game with it. Just picking and choosing when to go and when not to go. Knowing where people are going to be and knowing where people can get the ball and where they can be effective."
And at the defensive end, Teague's game is getting much better.
"I think I'm doing a good job with the point guard, trying to take them out of the offense as much as I can because it all starts through them."
Teague has been inspired by the play of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who's effort and determination has encouraged everyone on the team.
"he's a guy who gets on the loose balls, plays hard and he still gets 20 and 10, so he's instant offense, instant defense. He's everything, everything you need."
After Tuesday night's game, Florida coach Billy Donovan said he liked the disposition of Kentucky's players on the court. Tague agrees.
"I think we play together so well," Teague said. "You know, we enjoy playing together on offense and defense. We communicate. We Just have fun out there and it makes us play harder, when you enjoy who you playing with."
