Kentucky opened a solid favorite to beat South Carolina Saturday night in Columbia. After falling to Arkansas in overtime, coach John Calipari is left wondering what will happen next.

"We got one practice and we go to South Carolina." said Calipari. Two weeks ago, UK lost to Florida in Rupp Arena but still appeared to be making progress. "The difference with the Florida game was, there was so much to be encouraged about we could move on. This one is like, it's almost like you're waiting, what's gonna happen this next game."

The veterans on Kentucky's roster know what a late season slide feels like. Sophomore Willie Cauley-Stein went through it along with others. "JP (Jarrod Polson), Jon Hood, ya know even Sam Malone and Brian (Long) has been there. We know exactly what's happening and it's a scary thing if you let it, ya know, go south."

Kentucky has three games left in the regular season starting with South Carolina Saturday night. Tipoff will be at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
