LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - One of the nation’s top recruits will be playing in Central Kentucky this upcoming basketball season.
Andrew Wiggins and his Huntington Prep team will play Christian Faith Academy (NC) on Nov. 18 at Scott Co. High School. General admission tickets are $10.
Wiggins is considered the top prospect in the Class of 2014, but has hinted recently that he might reclassify for the Class of 2013.
The 6-foot-7, small forward, originally from Ontario, had narrowed his list of schools to UK and Florida State. But Wiggins’ coach, Rob Fulford, told SNY.tv that North Carolina has offered a scholarship and that Wiggins has asked other schools, including the Tar Heels, to become more actively involved in his recruitment.
Wiggins has until Nov. 1 to reclassify if he wants to play in the McDonald’s All-American game. Wiggins has put no timetable on if or when he might make a decision on reclassification.
