LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) At 5:00 sharp on Wednesday morning, fans who had been gathered across the street from Memorial Coliseum for days were given the signal to hurry up and wait.
The fans rushed across the street to line up for Big Blue Madness tickets, even though they won't be available until Saturday.
Tickets are free again this year, but there will be a limit of four tickets per person at Memorial Coliseum. Online orders will have a minimal service fee attached, and there will be a limit of four tickets per household.
At the request of campus public safety officials, fans who wish to line up ahead of time are being asked to do so no earlier than Wednesday October 2, but dozens have already began lining up across the street from the Coliseum. Campers are encouraged to come prepared with their tents and other belongings prior to arriving at Memorial Coliseum.
"It's always kind of hard the first day, cause everyone's trying to get their tent up. And they're like 'move, no you move.' But by the end of the week everybody knows everybody, a least around your little area," said camper Andie Davis. Her boyfriend, Clay Duncan, added in, "This is the second year, we were actually a couple rows down last year, and actually got a better spot this year."

With the construction on the Lexington Avenue side of the Joe Craft Center, campers are being asked to be mindful of construction vehicles entering and leaving the construction sites during daytime hours.
UK Athletics leaders say they have a plan to keep everything under control as fans wait for tickets. Two years ago fans made a mad dash across the Avenue of Champions to begin lining up outside Memorial Coliseum. Some fans say things got a little too crazy that year.
