Harper invited to U19 World Team Trials

Updated: 05/07/2013 - Kentucky women’s basketball signee Linnae Harper is one of 34 top athletes in the country age 19-years-old or younger, who have accepted invitations to participate in the 2013 USA Basketball U19 World Championship Team trials. Trials to select the 12-member USA squad will be held May 16-19 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Invitations to the trials were issued by the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee.

SEC announces launch of league network

Posted: 05/02/2013 - The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have signed a 20-year agreement through 2034 to create and operate a multiplatform network, which will launch in August 2014, it was announced today by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive and ESPN President John Skipper. The new network and its accompanying digital platform will air SEC content 24/7 including more than 1,000 events in its first year.

UK basketball non-conference schedule released

The schedule features a season-opening game in Rupp Arena against UNC-Asheville on Nov. 8 followed by a home date on Nov. 10 against Northern Kentucky. It marks the first time since the 2009-10 season the Wildcats open at home with multiple games.
