Tim returns to the Bluegrass State after graduating from Asbury College, now Asbury University, in 2008. Originally from Dallas, he returned to Texas to start his TV career in Abilene. He spent three years working on his craft, learning to track down big stories, and keeping an eye out of attention grabbing news. Tim also spent time learning from some of the top reporters in the business at WFAA in Dallas.
But for Tim's first TV experience, you'd have to go back to the mid-90s when he snuck into the background of a Chicago reporter's story. Although it was much later, on a youth trip through Monroe, La., where Tim visited a TV station and first considered getting into the news business.
Tim is a big time sports fan, which is why he jumped at the opportunity to travel to Beijing in 2008 and help with the broadcast of the Olympics. Nothing was more exciting then being at the opening and closing ceremonies, seeing Team USA beat China in basketball, and witnessing Usain Bolt set a world record in the 200-meter event.
While being true to his Texas roots, the Bluegrass kept calling Tim back. Call it a desire to see green grass, a real fall season, a chance to sip an Ale-8, or just to rekindle his love for UK Basketball. Any way you look at, Tim is glad to be back in Kentucky.
