Lee K. Howard left the Lonestar state for the Bluegrass state in October 2011. He joins the 27 Sportsfirst team as the weekend anchor, after covering sports in Texas for six years.
Reporting sports has been Lee K.'s passion since high school, when he realized he was better at talking sports than playing them. "Although I still like to think I can compete on any playing field," jokes Lee K. He grew up on the Texas/New Mexico state line and graduated from West Texas A&M University. Lee K. got his start in radio doing play-by-play for football, basketball and volleyball games. His TV career began at KAMR/KCIT in Amarillo, TX before joining KLBK in Lubbock, TX where he covered the Big 12, high school state tournaments and professional sports.
"I've interviewed many professionals, but the stories I enjoy telling most are the ones from local, young athletes achieving their dreams," says Lee K. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, working out and watching movies. Lee K. says he looks forward to covering a community passionate about their sports.
