Whether I was performing in musicals and plays or anchoring a live edition of UK Student News Network, I've always innately loved opportunities that allow me to connect to large audiences through a single medium. Fortunately my current position at WKYT is providing me with the perfect outlet to do so.
Although I currently reside in Lexington, I was born in Bowling Green, KY and eventually moved to the Northern Kentucky area around the age of ten.
In 2007 I graduated from Notre Dame Academy and continued my education at the University of Kentucky (Go Big Blue!) where I majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Sociology. At UK, I was fortunate enough to study under Professor Mel Coffee who ignited my passion for reporting and anchoring the news which I eventually did at our college station, News 16.
During my college years I interned with a Lexington TV station as well as CityBeat magazine in Cincinnati; the hands-on approach of both internships furthered my love of journalism and strengthened my dream of one day reporting the news to thousands of viewers.
