Mark comes to the horse capital of the world from Augusta, Ga., the golf capital of the world.
Even though he covered stories on the green, it was the stories he covered off the course that stick with him the most.
While Mark was in Augusta, he broke major details about a plane crash that killed five people.
Mark also closely followed Aimee Copeland’s story as the young woman captivated people across the nation as she battled rare, flesh-eating bacteria.
Mark married his wife Lindsey (who will teach in elementary schools in Lexington) in July 2013. They met while they were college students in the Greenville, South Carolina area.
Mark is from the Midwest. He was born and raised in Colorado Springs and did the rest of his growing up in the small town of Marysville, Kansas.
Mark is used to being in Wildcat territory (Kansas State that is) and is excited to now be in UK’s Wildcat country.
Aside from his love of college basketball, Mark is looking forward to plugging into a church and exploring the Bluegrass!
