Born and raised in Lexington, Elizabeth loves working for the station she grew up watching.

As weekend anchor and Emmy nominated reporter, Elizabeth feels she has the best job in broadcast news. "I love going out on stories and meeting new people and seeing new things," Elizabeth explained. "but I also love getting to be a part of the best weekend team there is and telling people about what's going on in their communities."

The A.P. Award winning journalist is a 2004 graduate of the university of Kentucky majoring in political science with a focus on Latin American politics. She fell in love with journalism while writing for the Kentucky Kernel and through her political reporting internship at WKYT. Elizabeth was hired as a reporter following graduation and hasn't looked back since, covering everything from Derby Parties and traveling with the UKWildcats to the devastating crash of flight 5191.

"That was one of the most difficult days the Lexington community has ever seen," Elizabeth said. "I remember national news teams arriving to cover the tragedy, but they could never understand how hard our jobs were as we learned friends and family members were aboard that plane."

Elizabeth is also known locally for having been shot with a bb gun outside Best Buy during the mayhem surrounding the release of the Play Station 3. "When they made fun of that on Saturday Night Live, I knew I had arrived!" she said laughingly.

Elizabeth became weekend anchor in May of 2010 and took the role of Crimestoppers reporter in May of 2011.

She enjoys traveling with her husband, Rob, and spending time with family and friends. Elizabeth is the Development Chair for the Lexington Humane Society board and serves on the junior board for Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate. Elizabeth is also a member of the Junior League of Lexington.
