I am currently enjoying my second tour of duty with WKYT. I came here for the first time in 1972 as Sports Director. In that capacity, I anchored the nightly sportscasts and handled play-by-play of football and basketball games on the UK Television Network. In 1980, I moved to Kansas City to fulfill my boyhood dream of doing major league baseball play-play play.
I spent 13 seasons as the "television voice of the Kansas City Royals" and covered two World Series with them. I later operated my own sports production company in Kansas City, hosted a nightly sports talk-show on radio, and served one year as the Royals Director of Community Relations and Community Relations.
Two years ago, I jumped at the opportunity to return to Kentucky and WKYT as a News Anchor/Reporter. This past year, I proudly accepted an Emmy and two Edward R. Murrow awards for my work.
