Since 1982, Dave Baker has been a sports anchor, reporter and account executive at WKYT-TV, the CBS television affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition, Dave has just completed his 17th season with the University of Kentucky Football and Basketball Networks serving in a variety of capacities but primarily as the host of their pre-game broadcasts.

This is Dave's sixth season with Lincoln Financial Sports. During the fall he's the football sideline reporter and the host of the "SEC Football Today" pre-game show. During the winter he's a play-by-play announcer on Lincoln's broadcast of SEC Basketball and in the summer he reports for Lincoln Financials popular Aaron's Football Saturdays in the South program.

In addition to his on-air duties, Dave has a long history of community commitment and involvement. The Kentucky State House and Senate have honored Dave for his work with the Malt Beverage Education Corporation, a statewide organization that gets the message to high school students about the dangers of underage drinking. And in 2006 Dave served on Kentucky Lieutenant Governor's Steve Pence's task force that's dealing with the issue of toughening laws and enforcement relating to registered sex offenders. The result of that work by the Kentucky Coalition Against Sexual Assaults resulted in the passage of Kentucky House Bill 3. Dave is also a member of the board of directors for the Larry Gilbert Foundation First Tee of Lexington which is in the process of building a $3.5 million short course and golf learning center, the first of it's kind in Kentucky. And Dave's other civic "love" is the Children's Charity Golf Classic. Having just celebrated its 26th anniversary, the Children's Charity Classic raises money for 30 different children's organizations in central Kentucky. In 2004 Dave was named recipient of the Jose Ferrer Award the group's highest honor and the 2005 event raised a record 1.1 million dollars.

Dave is a 1978 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, Ohio and a 2005 inductee into the Franklin High School Hall of Fame. He's a 1982 graduate of Georgetown College. Dave and his wife Bethany attend Southland Christian Church in Lexington. They are the proud parents of daughter Madelyn, twin daughters Mallory and Macy and a son Manning.
