I spent almost six years as a news videographer before being given the opportunity to report and shoot video. It's the best of both worlds.

Born in Germany to army parents I have spent most of my life living in Kentucky. I grew up in Clay City and am a proud Powell County Pirate. Now that I live in Lexington I get to do my dream job of covering the people of central and eastern Kentucky.

After high school I went to Eastern Kentucky University where I sampled a variety of majors including English teaching, police administration and journalism before finally discovering broadcast news. While at Eastern I wrote for the award winning Eastern Progress and served in the student government.

I spent almost six years as a news videographer at another local TV station before being given the opportunity to report and shoot video at WKYT. It's the best of both worlds.

When I'm not at work I enjoy visiting my family who still live in Powell County, going to the movies, reading books and graphic novels and playing games of all kinds. Video games, board games, collectible card games and sports all occupy my time.
