There is no place in the world like Kentucky! The people, countryside, culture, and food are unlike anything you can find anywhere. I am privileged to call the commonwealth my new home.

Before catching the "unbridled spirit", I worked as a Reporter/Anchor in Salisbury, Maryland at an ABC affiliate, WMDT-TV. While there I had the pleasure of covering news on the Eastern Shores of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. Covering such a huge area gave me the opportunity to: work closely with a diversity of local, and federal politicians, investigate social and community issues--and on a lighter note eat a lot of crab cakes.

My proudest broadcasting achievements to date are: covering the memorial services for Rosa Parks at the Capitol Rotunda, and interviewing the United Nations Under-Secretary General For Political Affairs.

Before working as a Reporter/Anchor in both television and radio for 4 years at WOUB-TV/Radio in southeastern Ohio.

News is my passion. Finding and telling the stories that make a difference in the lives of viewer is what I love. That passion can likely be credited to my education at the Scripps School of Journalism, at Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio. The education I received there gave me the knowledge to tell a story well, the ethical principals to tell a story right, and the drive to tell a story best. Go Bobcats!

As for Sherelle the non-reporter...I love reading, planning dinner parties, broadening my Spanish speaking skills (¿Habla usted español? Mándeme un correo electrónico.) and working with faith-based community organizations.

Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from my fellow Kentuckians.
