I'm so excited to be back in Kentucky after being away for five years to work in Louisiana!. Being born and raised in Louisville, I know how dynamic our weather can be. Even at an early age, I always wanted to know how and why certain weather events occurred. I've never wanted to be anything other than a meteorologist.
After receiving my bachelors of science in Geosciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University, I moved to Lexington for a short time before I got my first television job in Lafayette, La. During my four and a half years as weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter at KATC, I covered many hurricanes including Katrina, Rita, Gustav, and Ike. Then, I moved to Alexandria, La., to be morning and noon meteorologist at KALB. After just a few months in Alexandria, I had the chance to move back to my home state to work for WKYT.
I'm a member of the American Meteorological Society and hold a seal of approval from the National Weather Association. When not tracking the weather, I love to spend time with my husband, Kinnane, in addition to traveling, cooking, and relaxing with my Yorkie, NaNa.
