I have been a member of the WYMT family since January of 1998 when Tony Turner hired me as a news reporter. I anchored the 11pm news with Susannah Sizemore until April of 1999 when a position in the sports department opened. Sports have always been a major part of my life and I have a deep passion for the student athletes, coaches and families of eastern Kentucky. I quickly became consumed with Eastern Kentucky high school and college sports and it has been my professional focus ever since.

WYMT is special. The relationship this station has with the communities and the citizens of the mountains is what makes Your Mountain Television different. I care about each person I come in contact with and so does our station.

On a personal note, I played baseball and football at Butler High School in Louisville. After high school, I attended Morehead State University on a baseball scholarship and was the starting shortstop on the 1993 OVC Championship team. While at MSU I was fortunate to set a couple of school records for hits and at-bats.

My wife Barbara and I have been married since 2004. I have a step-son, Taylin, who is 18 years old and attends Perry County Central High School. We have two dogs Brooks and Fancy. Brooks was named for Brooks Robinson!
