“Trinity” is a site-specific, audience-immersive theatrical experience that tells the story of Dr. Oppenheimer, his atomic bomb, and the three great women in his life. At 5:29AM on July 16th, 1945 the world’s first successful test detonation of an atomic bomb, codenamed “Trinity,” turned the New Mexican desert sand into glass. This fictionalized account of what happened next is set on the evening of July 16th, where the audience members are present as Oppenheimer’s “guests” at a jovial cocktail party in celebration of the successful Trinity test. *Please be advised, this is an immersive performance that requires audience members to participate and move around in the space; there is low lighting and no seating*

Various participating galleries in the downtown Lexington area
During the LexArts HOP, thousands of locals and visitors alike converge on downtown Lexington to celebrate art throughout the evening with new gallery exhibitions, special events, and food and drinks at supporting venues. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces, the LexArts HOP is arguably Lexington's most anticipated visual arts celebration.
Patrons begin at one of nearly 50 locations and visit as many or as few participating venues as they would like. Each site presents an exciting new exhibit for each HOP and, thanks to the generosity of many, including season sponsor Stoll Keenon Ogden, admission is always free. Though many shops, galleries and supporting venues are open earlier, the official HOP hours are 5-8pm, with many restaurants, bars and other non-traditional venues staying open considerably later.
Pick up your HOP guide at ArtPlace, 161 North Mill Street, or visit GalleryHopLex.com for venue information and an interactive map.
