A Taste of Kentucky to Offer Free Shipping on All Orders to Active Duty Military Personnel

10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Monday thru Saturday; 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Sunday.

Louisville, Kentucky & Online
A Taste of Kentucky, which offers Louisville’s widest
selection of unique Kentucky-made or Kentucky-inspired gifts, foods, crafts and gift
baskets, will show its gratitude to our service men and women by offering free shipping
on all orders to active duty personnel stationed both domestically and internationally. The
offer starting on Veterans Day, will last through November 30, 2014.

To receive free shipping: order at all three stores, by phone at 502-244-3355, or online at
www.aTasteofKentucky.com and enter the coupon code: military. Orders must be
shipped to a military location and include active duty name, rank and military address, as
well as APO and FPO addresses. Sending chocolates is not recommended, as they often
melt in high heat areas like Afghanistan and Iraq.

John Hassmann, US Navy veteran and owner of A Taste of Kentucky, says, “It’s very
important to all of us here to support our troops in any way we can. I remember how it is
to be away from home. A package from a friend or family member goes a long way to
boost morale. We’re just trying to make it a little easier to send those packages.”

For almost three decades A Taste of Kentucky has offered gifts and goods with a
distinctive Kentucky flavor. They have three locations around town, as well as an
extensive selection of gift baskets and specialty items available in our online store at
www.aTasteofKentucky.com. The Shelbyville Road Plaza store is located at 4600
Shelbyville Road. Hours are 10am – 9pm, Monday thru Saturday; 12pm – 6pm Sunday.
For more information , please call John Hassmann at 502-244-3355.

Red Barn Radio Welcomes Emmanuel Ridge

Date(s): 9/3/2014

8pm

ArtsPlace, 161 N Mill St., Lexington, KY 40507
RED BARN RADIO WELCOMES EMMANUEL RIDGE 09/03 AT 8 PM
Emmanuel Ridge We are all about simple. Simple music
with a simple message. We are about our home in the
middle of nowhere Kentucky. Small town America. A place
where the Little White Church still exists. Somewhere
that Saturday evening on the front porch with the radio
playing in the background is what you work for all week.
Where the preacher still comes to visit on Sunday
afternoon for dinner and the Bible is still the most
important book in the house. Emmanuel Ridge is a state
of mind as much as it is a place or even a group. When
you take God, the Bible, and Faith out of the home, you
remove hope. You remove appreciation for what really
matters.

5:30pm -7:30pm

207 E Reynolds Rd #260, Lexington, KY 40517
Students will learn the Ayurvedic lifestyle program presented by a Deepak Chopra Certified Instructor. The Chopra Center is based in Carlsbad, California. Holistic Life Sciences is proud to have Chopra Instructor's on our team and bring this event to Lexington, Ky. Ayurveda is an ancient east Indian healing system and lifestyle, this course will provide all the information you need to begin a life filled with balance of mind, body, and soul. From our environmental challenges, our state of stress, weight loss and management our state of health and happiness unfolds. You will learn your personal elemental make up (Dosha) and how the food you eat, how you react to emotional situations, social interactions, mediation practices, and yoga practices will improve how you digest your life. Most may look at digestion as only referring to the food you eat. The digestion process goes far beyond the plate. Your day to day life, events you encounter, what your TV is tuned to, how much you enjoy your job and relationships, and your reaction to these life events all must be digested. If you hold onto those negative emotional trauma’s they will eventually manifest into a disease or illness, even if you ate the perfect amount of food with the perfect nutrition. Some who hold onto weight that eat healthy and workout, and they wonder why? It is because you have 'held onto' undigested emotional baggage. This powerful Ayurvedic knowledge will teach you the release process of the past and how to more efficiently process future emotions. Our goal is for our students to walk away with the knowledge of 'tuning' themselves from one moment to the next no matter what is taking place outside of them.

The Graffiti Run

Date(s): 9/7/2014

9am - 11am

Kentucky Speedway, Sparta, KY
The Graffiti Run will be the most colorful day of your life. Bold statement, we know (especially if you lived through the 70′s or ever owned a hyper-color t- shirt), but just hear us out. First off, we use the term “run” loosely here at the Graffiti Run. Our 5K course is more about having a blast with friends and family than it is about busting out four-minute miles. So feel free to run, walk, dance, crawl, roll, piggy-back ride, or summersault your way through the color madness. Secondly, the no-six-pack-required course means the Graffiti Run is for EVERYONE (unless you hate color or smiling, then you are not invited). You will see green grand-parents next to pink college students. Yellow marathon runners alongside blue children. Orange moms next to purple unicorns*. We only have two rules: you must get absolutely drenched in color and have an amazing time.
Raising money for local charities! Check out the event location for more details.
The Graffiti run is currently offering 50% off registration for everyone included in the Kentucky Speedway email blast. Go to The Graffiti Run website and sign up for the Cincinnati, Louisville, and Lexington race. Type the code KSpeed50 when prompted during check out to redeem offer!!
