PODS® of Lexington dedicates holiday season to Eastern Kentucky youth

10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• 2514 Nicholasville Rd. Lexington, KY 40503 • 2025 Harrodsburg Rd. Lexington, KY 40504 • 1863 Plaudit Pl. Lexington, KY 40509
This holiday season, some families are blessed every day with warm clothes, plenty of food, and jobs to provide for their children. PODS of Lexington knows this isn’t the case for every family and has partnered with Chick-fil-A and Mission of Hope for a “Pack the PODS® Container” collection to benefit the youth of Eastern Kentucky. A PODS container will be placed outside three Lexington Chick-fil-A stores from Friday, Nov. 21, through Monday, Dec. 8, collecting essential items for the Eastern Kentucky youth, including: new and gently used warm clothing, new toys and non-perishable food items.
Mission of Hope is a non-profit organization servicing people of various counties in Kentucky and Tennessee from which 80 percent of the region’s residents no longer have jobs in the coal mining industry. Mission of Hope has partnered with Eastern Kentucky schools since 1996, providing over 18,000 students and family members with new clothes, toys, food, and hygiene items.
“PODS is happy to extend its services to Mission of Hope this holiday season,” expresses Ken Kocon, general Manager of PODS of Lexington. “Collecting these donations will help ensure that our youth are set up to have every opportunity for future success and learn to pay it forward.”
