important to all of us here to support our troops in any way we can. I remember how it is
to be away from home. A package from a friend or family member goes a long way to
boost morale. We’re just trying to make it a little easier to send those packages.”

distinctive Kentucky flavor. They have three locations around town, as well as an

Kentucky Women Veterans Meet and Greet
noon to 4pm
Wayside Hotel Louisville
Please join Women Veterans from across Kentucky in a Meet and Greet Women Veterans event on Saturday, March 17 2012. It will be held in Louisville from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wayside Hotel Louisville, 120 West Broadway.
The event is sponsored by the Kentucky Women Veterans Program of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs. I am Robin Jones, newly appointed Kentucky Department Women’s Veteran Coordinator. In April 2010, I retired (20 yrs) from the Navy as a Personnel Specialist. I have been with KDVA since February 2011. Working at KDVA has allowed me to reach out to many veterans, male and female. I’m so excited about my assignment.
The Meet and Greet will be an opportunity for all women veterans to find out about the organizations that support women veterans and to meet the people involved in that support. In addition, women veterans will learn at first hand the resources available to them and their families. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to meet other women veterans, and join and expand support networks.
The mission of the Kentucky Women Veterans Program is to ensure that Kentucky's women veterans have equitable access to federal and state veterans' services and benefits. Our goal is to create a strong network of women veterans in Kentucky.
Please call or email me at 502-595-4447, firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
We will promote this event through personal invitations to women veterans, plus statewide and local media, veteran’s organizations, state and local agencies and social media. This will be an exceptional opportunity to support our veterans. .
On the behalf of Kentucky Department of Veteran Affairs, I would like to thank you for your participation.
