Come out and celebrate the City of Martin’s 45th Annual Red, White, Blue Days Festival. Join in the fun and excitement with the carnival provided by Derby City Amusements. Celebrate America’s Veterans of the Armed Forces with “Music For The Vets.” Special music guests include Kentucky Mountain Trio, CJ the DJ & East Kentucky Rain, Black Powder Express, and Nashville Recording Artist Logan Hall. Join us for the raising of our nations flag and Veterans Memorial Dinner to pay tribute to our local heroes. There is something for the whole family to enjoy at this years 45th Annual Red, White, & Blue Days Festival. Check out a knock down hard core match with Bluegrass Championship Wrestling. The Oleika Engineers Train Ride will be here for the kids and trolley service provided by Sandy Valley Transportation the day of the parade. Join us for a special raising of the P.O.W. flag with Lexington, Kentucky Chapter 5 Rolling Thunder. Stop by the car show and stay for the parade and the fireworks show too. All vendors are welcome and an enclosed tent will be provided for all arts and crafts. Octavia Hatcher was laid to rest in the unseasonably hot spring of 1891. Sleep in Safety tells the story of James and Octavia Hatcher's unthinkable horror and how others who succumbed to a mysterious sleeping sickness unexpectedly woke up. Based on the story of Octavia's mistaken burial and evidence of her subsequent awakening six feet under, Sleep in Safety will have you wondering if she still haunts the hills of Pikeville.
