AZUR Restaurant & Patio kicks off Labor Day weekend with 7th annual Latin Pig Roast

Socialize with friends and family this Labor Day weekend around a whole suckling pig at AZUR Restaurant & Patio during the seventh-annual Latin Pig Roast. Chef Jeremy Ashby will team up with fellow AZUR Food Group partner and Brasabana executive chef Miguel Rivas, a Dominican Republic native, for a festive culinary event full of authentic Latin flavor. The social gathering will be held on AZUR’s spacious patio with live music to accompany the pork-centric celebration. The cost is $40 per person. The Latin Pig Roast buffet menu includes:

Appetizers:
Empanadas de pollo (chicken-stuffed empanadas) with local sweet corn butter
Croquetas de jamon y pollo (smoked chicken and ham croquettes) with key lime-honey mustard
Ceviche mixto with shrimp, calamari, mussels and crab

Entrées:
Puerco pernil (roasted suckling pig) with mojo, rice and beans
Camarones de playa (seared shrimp) with tomatoes, serrano peppers and cilantro
Fricasse de pollo (slow-cooked chicken) with creole tomato sauce with potatoes

Side dishes:
Maduros (fried sweet plantains)
Salsita with tropical fruit and queso fresco
Latin-style elote (grilled corn) with lime, Parmesan, cayenne pepper and creamy sauce

Desserts:
Tres leches cake with pineapple-vanilla salsa
